IKEA is making its debut in Western New York, bringing a highly anticipated store to the Walden Galleria in early 2027.
The iconic Swedish retailer will transform the 67,000-square-foot lower level of the former Sears space at the mall’s north end, promising shoppers its full array of showrooms, marketplace, and the popular Swedish Bistro.

The City of Buffalo Animal Shelter is facing severe overcrowding with all dog kennels currently full.
Newly arrived dogs must stay in overflow crates, as the shelter is required to take in every stray from within the city.
This urgent situation highlights the ongoing need for community support through both adoptions and foster care.
Dog adoption fees are $220, covering vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, and a lifetime microchip.
Anyone interested in fostering is encouraged to contact the shelter for more details.
Mayor Sean Ryan recently announced over $400,000 in funding for major shelter updates, promising better conditions for both animals and staff.
While these improvements are underway, local residents can make an immediate difference by fostering or adopting, directly easing shelter crowding and improving the lives of these pets. Read More... |
